Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions
   •    Service: Hayafi mobile app and website
   •    User: Anyone using Hayafi
   •    Content: Profile info, messages, photos, videos, and other materials uploaded by users

2. Acceptance of Terms
By using Hayafi, you agree to these Terms. Continued use after updates means acceptance of the revised Terms.

3. Eligibility
   •    Must be 18+
   •    Must be Muslim or sincerely seeking a Muslim marriage
   •    Providing false information, impersonation, or misuse is strictly prohibited

​

4. Purpose of Use
   •    Hayafi is strictly for sincere halal marriage intentions
   •    Casual dating, temporary arrangements, or unlawful behavior is not allowed
   •    Users must act respectfully and follow Islamic manners

5. Account & Verification
   •    Accurate personal info is required
   •    Selfie verification is mandatory to confirm authenticity; deleted 15 days after verification
   •    Optional ID verification for “Verified ID” badge; deleted immediately after verification
   •    Verification badges indicate checks were completed but do not guarantee compatibility or marriage

6. Wali (Guardian) Features
   •    Female users may provide wali/guardian contact info during sign-up
   •    Chat monitoring can be enabled/disabled anytime in settings
   •    Weekly chat transcripts emailed to selected wali if enabled
   •    Proposal feature lets users share wali contact details with potential matches
   •    Users may request another user’s wali contact from within chat. Wali details are only shared if the user manually approves the request.
   •    Hayafi provides tools for wali involvement but is not responsible for their decisions or behavior

7. Payments & Subscriptions
At present, Hayafi does not offer any paid features or subscription plans.

All features available in the app are currently free to use.

If paid features are introduced in the future, the Terms & Conditions will be updated accordingly and users will be informed before any charges apply.

8. User Content & Conduct
   •    Users retain ownership of their content but grant Hayafi license to display it
   •    Prohibited content: offensive, unlawful, pornographic, fake profiles, harassment, or scams
   •    Hayafi may remove content or suspend accounts for policy violations

9. Privacy & Data Use
   •    Users consent to data collection as detailed in the Privacy Policy
   •    Consent categories include: Strictly Necessary, Analytics, Marketing, and optional third-party SDKs
   •    Users can allow/refuse all, or personalize per category
   •    Hayafi does not sell personal data
   •    Essential SDKs used: Firebase, ZEGO Cloud, Twilio, Node.js + MongoDB, AWS S3, socket.io, image_picker, shared_preferences, connectivity_plus, intl_phone_field
   •    Optional SDKs: file_picker, image_cropper, video_player, url_launcher

10. User Rights & Responsibilities
   •    Users can manage consent in the app
   •    Users may request deletion, correction, or export of their data via hello@hayafi.app
   •    Users are responsible for keeping their login credentials secure
   •    Harassment, misuse, or sharing illegal content may result in account suspension or legal action

11. Limitation of Liability
   •    Hayafi provides tools for connecting Muslims but cannot guarantee marriage or user behavior
   •    Users use the service at their own risk
   •    Hayafi is not liable for interactions, outcomes, or actions of users, wali/guardians, or matches

12. Intellectual Property
   •    Hayafi owns all copyrights, trademarks, and app content
   •    Users may not copy, distribute, or use Hayafi branding without written permission

​

13. International Users
   •    Users outside the UK must follow their local laws
   •    Data may be processed outside the UK/EU with safeguards in place

​

14. Modifications to Terms
   •    Hayafi may update these Terms at any time
   •    Major changes will be notified in-app or by email
   •    Continued use signifies acceptance of updated Terms
